2013-08-31Why wrong: In French, most final consonants aren’t pronounced. This can create confusion if you don’t pronounce -ed endings in English, with people possibly understanding the present instead of the past, a verb instead of an adjective or two verbs instead of one. Correct it: For words that end with r sound before the ed, the -ed should be pronounced like –de. Don’t add an extra syllable. Say “She was very scared“.2013-09-13
