Two Fingers One FingerWhat? You’re only going to go up one?

Why wrong: In French, the final s in a plural isn’t usually pronounced. This can create confusion if you do this in English.  To move to a different floor, you have to climb many stairs, not just one.  This is why we say upstairs. For more information, click here. To be taken seriously…

Correct it: The final s on plurals must be pronounced or else singular will be understood. Say “I have to go upstairs.”

Remember not to use French pronunciation rules when you speak English. Contact Roy to sound like a pro.
